The database tab on the Learners page allows users to view and manage all learners in your account on the GoodCourse platform.
The Database tab displays a list of all learners, along with the following information:
Full name
Description: The description of the learner
Tags: All the tags associated with the specific learner
Groups: All the groups the learner belongs to
Status: Whether the learner is scheduled to start a course, currently enrolled, or available for enrolment (see for more)
You can filter learners by the following criteria:
Last name
Description
Tag
Status
Group
Scroll down for the written and static image version of the help guide.
To manage a learner's record, click on the Manage button. This opens a popup, where you can edit the learner's details:
On this popup, you can edit a learner's:
Personal information: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and description
Groups: check / uncheck to add / remove them from an existing learner group, and updating the groups they belong to
You can also delete a learner. Deleted learners can be restored for up to 30 days, before they're deleted permanently. To restore, first filter the database by status = deleted, and then select your learner to restore.
The other actions you can perform other options on this page are:
Managing tags
Downloading the CSV template for a new upload of learners
Downloading your list of learners as a CSV file
Scroll down for the written and static image version of the help guide.
Tags are used to label learners by particular characteristics (such as department, location, level, gender etc.). These are then used when grouping learners to enrol on a course, and for slicing up analytical data.
To manage tags, click on the Actions button and then Manage tags. This will open a popup where you can view all of the tags that have been uploaded for your company.
To add a new tag, type into the input field and click Add.
Deleting a tag removes it from all learners and cannot be undone. Proceed with caution.
To delete a tag, click on the x icon next to it and confirm by clicking the Delete button at the end of the page. If you delete a tag below, it'll be removed from all associated learners - so be careful.
To download learner records as CSV, click on the Actions button and then Download as CSV. This will download a CSV file to your computer containing the records of all learners associated with your company.
