Themes

Themes are a way to customise the look and feel of your course to make it more personalised to your company's branding. You select a theme for an entire course - its configuration applies to all cards in the course.

The themes section has two sections:

  • Presets: These are preset themes created by the GoodCourse team that can be added to any course.

  • Your themes: These are themes that you have created, or that has been created by anyone in your company.

  1. Select the card type to start editing.

  • Cover: The first card in a course. All courses can only have one cover card.

  • Cards: This represents every other card, beyond the cover, in the course.

  • Buttons: This is for configuring how buttons would appear in a course, such as the button on a link card.

When you've finished the customisation for one of the 3 sections, the colour of the text will change to green.

You must start with the Cover when configuring your theme.

  1. Configure the background

    • Once you have selected a card type (cover or body), you can configure the background.

    • Solid colour: enter the body hex and the font hex. A hex is a 6 digit code for a colour.

    • Image: select an image from the library of options, and choose the text colour.

Choose a background and text colour combination that makes the text easy to read and does not distract the learner.

  1. Choose font: Select your desired font from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click Save once you are finished.
