What is your guide course?

Every user on the GoodCourse platform has their own guide course, that only they can access and edit (sneaky).

It's designed to provide you with an intro to using the Course Builder section of the platform:

  • There are several intro cards (that you can't edit) which give you some initial guidance.

  • You can add additional cards of different types to this sandbox course, to experiment and try out features.

How to add cards to your guide course

Simply click one of the available 'Add Card' tiles on the left hand side - in the below GIF, the user clicks the 'Text' card:

Usually, adding a new card places it to the immediate right of the card you're focussed on. On your guide course, however, it's added at the end - to separate guide cards from your cards.

Tips for Using the Guide Course

  • Start by reading through the core cards. These give you a good foundation for understanding and using the Course Builder section.

  • Once you have a basic understanding of the course builder, start adding your own cards. This is a great way to learn by doing.

  • Use the 'Preview' button to generate a demo link to view your course as a learner would (doing this opens the demo link in a new tab - you may have to disable your browser's popup blockers on the GoodCourse application to use this feature).

  • Don't be afraid to experiment. Your guide course is a safe place to try out new ideas and features.
